Minutes of the monthly meeting of Goxhill Parish Council held at 7.30pm on Thursday 6th March 2008 at the Parish Room, Howe Lane.

4. Minutes of the Previous Meeting and Matters Arising
Minutes of full meeting held on 6th February 2008 agreed as a true record
Playing Field sub Committee meeting held on 10th January 2008 signed
Cemetery and Avenues meeting held on 10th January 2008 signed
Footpaths meeting held on 10th January 2008 signed
Parish Rooms meeting held on 10th January 2008 signed
Next sub committee meetings deferred until May 2008
No update received on status of a further questionnaire relating to 2007 Floods.
5. Police Matters
No police were in attendance
Next Police meeting is on 27th March 2008. This is not a public meeting
6 Current Correspondence
Response received from North Lincs Council concerning weeds, and trees at a property in North End,
Street Sign for the Church. It was agreed to write back to request a sign be placed on existing post for cul de sac and also request a further sign on the Goxhill village sign on Ferry Road
7 New Correspondence
Street Sign for St Michael Court has been vandalised. It was agreed to acknowledge the letter and confirm that its replacement is not the Parish Councils responsibility. It was agreed to write to North Lincs Council to request a replacement.
8 Accounts
Council members to visit Bank to become authorised signatories.
9 New Planning Applications
2008/0111 Gathercole. Agreed that type of planning application is unclear. Confirmation of outline or full application required. Agreed to refer to current moratorium on new builds
10. Planning Applications Granted
2008/0079 Wendover Cottage, Greengate Lane
11. Memorial Hall Report
Mrs V Gorbett to request a scale of charges for renting the hall is published
12. Footpaths
It was agreed to approach Fauldings for a revised quote for both Green Ramper and Little Ramper
Illegal Tipping. It was agreed to contact Street Right
13. Allotments
Nothing to report
14. Parish Room
New Carpet and Radiator fitted and walls decorated
Drinks Machine - It was agreed to write to Mike Wilson in Barnetby. If no interest then to advertise on ebay
Weekly Card Class – It was agreed to offer the group a free months trial and thereafter charge 50p per person each week
Car Park – In progress
15. Playing Fields
Barton Mowing has submitted a quote for each mow. It was agreed to contact them to confirm area size. It was also agreed to request a quote for the other playing field
Zip Slide has been repaired
16 Cemetery and Avenue
Headstone approved
Cemetery Fees - It was unanimously resolved to adopt the revised scale of charges for interments and exclusive rights of burial, to ensure legal compliance with current cemetery legislation.
Rules and Regulations – It was agreed to make the changes highlighted in the draft document
New Road Access – It was agreed to defer this item indefinitely
Garden Design – It was agreed to contact Mrs J Tucker to discuss the design at a separate meeting
17 Any Other Business
Contract of Employment – It was agreed to formalise arrangements for the Cleaner and Street Warden. Mr M Carn agreed to draft necessary contracts and letters
Service Agreement for Church Clock – It was agreed to continue with existing annual arrangement and contact Potts who service the Church Clock in Barrow for alternative quote.

Access changes at Glebe Farm
Agreed to investigate if new access required planning permission
Wooden Road Sign at corner of Gatehouse Road and Thornton Road. It was agreed to write to North Lincs Council again

Thursday 3rd April 2008 at 7.30pm. This will commence with the Annual Parish Meeting.
