Funds are also available for a new security fence along the rear perimeter of the primary school, although it is still unsure whether the post and rail fence will be erected alongside the allotments and playing field extension.

General Parish Room issues & maintenance 1. Wayleave payments. Notice has been given to YEDL that the council would like to see the post and cables flush against the wall, otherwise notice will be given for them to be removed. 2. Use of computers/hire of room. Following an enquiry from a digital camera class to use the room and computers, the library services have written to say they cannot activate the computers outside library hours. This is not in accordance with the terms of the library lease and Mr Gathercole agreed to take this up with Sandra Barker or Jacki Haddock at the next meeting. 3. Rates for hire of room/advertising. It was agreed that the parish room should be made available for hire to classes or groups, although there would be no charge where people wished to have a venue to discuss matters of interest ,or it was a service to the village. This will be advertised on the Gander website at a rate of £5 per 2 hour booking. 4. Maintenance. Arrangements will be made to draw up an agreement for the caretaker. Clerk is waiting to hear from Mike Wilson with regard to purchasing the drinks machine. Clerk to purchase 4 x lockable posts for the parish room car park.
