Public Participation/update from Ward Councillors/Police Matters There were no members of the public present. Cllr Wells informed the meeting that Goxhill had been scheduled for road gully clearance in the week. Cllrs confirmed that the vehicles had been seen in the village, but that Ruards Lane and Bridge Hill (Ferry Rd) had not been cleaned, and also opposite Chestnut way was blocked. Cllr Wells advised the clerk of the relevant contacts in North Lincs Council |

Minutes of the previous meetings and matters arising. It was noted that Mrs Prestwood had attended the November meeting and the minutes were amended before signature. Matters arising: Clerk explained the problem of moving the planning items before hearing the correspondence, and it was agreed to leave the agenda in its current format. |

Report from ERNLLCA Meeting. Mrs Prestwood spoke on the ERNLLCA meeting which had included items on managing Community Buildings and how they could combine to save energy costs, and also parish planning.

Allotments Update There are currently two vacant allotments for rent.

Memorial Hall. Mr Leaning gave an update on the Memorial Hall, which is currently undergoing redecoration. It was noted that the roof was still leaking, and Mr Leaning agreed to take the reponsibility for authorising the roofing contractor to be recalled and informed the work was not satisfactory. Mr Ross suggested that more grants may be available if the Hall were to be a listed builidng and Mr Leaning agreed to put this proposal to the Committee.

Goalpost Safety Scheme. Funding has been awarded for 50% of costs for one set of adult goalposts, and one set of youth goals. Mr Gathercole proposed to move the position of the posts further towards the back of the field, and Mr Bradnum confirmed that this had been their original position. It was agreed that the posts should be ordered, and the Clerk should contact contractors at Barrow Haven for installation.

Cemetery Planting Scheme. The planting scheme and quotation was discussed, and it was resolved that this would now have to go out to tender, due to it being over the approved financial limit. Clerk to write to Mrs Tucker and thank her for the scheme and explain the situation. It was also agreed to look into whether the refineries could supply some of the plants under their carbon offset scheme. |

Highways/Environmental Issues Clerk to contact Highways Dept over the following issues; - missing name sign for The Close - 7.5 tonne weight limit sign for Chestnut Way - Caution – Children sign for drivers entering the village from the northern end of Ferry Rd, together with a request for a pavement/footpath.
Mr Ross has been approached by the Brocklesby Hunt to see if a donation could be made towards a bonfire and fireworks display next year. It was agreed this would be considered if the request was put in writing for the precept meeting.
