Operation Christmas Child
see: www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk/
The school is taking part in Operation Christmas Child again this year. We hope you may be able to help by either providing a full shoe box or contributing to a class box. As you are no doubt aware many children in the world do not receive any gifts at Christmas so any help you are able to give would be very much appreciated. Please return boxes / contributions to school by 24th November.
Many thanks in anticipation of your support!

As a result of several Governor posts becoming vacant this term, the school has been asked to print the following letter from Theresa Bruce- Vice Chair of Governors:
To all Parents.
Very soon the governors at Goxhill School will be recruiting parent governors for our school. If any body feels that they can give some of their spare time and join us on the governing body we will be happy to welcome you.
Governors play an important role in the school and this is your chance to join us.
If you think you may be able to fulfill this role but you are unsure of how much time is needed or how often we meet I will be available during both parents evenings (3rd and 6th Nov) for you to come along and have a chat. I will be able to outline the role and answer any questions.
Thank you
Theresa Bruce
