Welcome to the Gander Grants Scheme
The Gander Grants Scheme, is open to all residents of Goxhill, when funding is required for a community project or good cause, that benefits local people and/or the community in general.
Whilst the Gander is not a huge publication with Millionaire backing and cannot give out huge cheques, it does maintain a reserve of funds to ensure its future. When those reserves are over and above our stated requirement to have reserves to cover at least two issues of the Gander, we are able to allocate grants to support local initiatives.
The scheme is not an endless pot of money and not every applicant will qualify for a grant. We carefully assess each application to ensure that the funds are used effectively and benefit the community as intended.
We have recently granted funds to several local initiatives, including new 'Tree Lighting' for the Church and for two local girls to go on an expedition with their school, to Borneo!
Note: These entries do not cover every grant the Gander has ever issued and will not necessarily be updated every time a new grant is awarded to someone, they simply showcase some of the recent initiatives supported by the scheme.
