Print Advertising Specifications & Rates
The Gander is an A4 publication distributed free to every household in the parish of Goxhill. By advertising with us, you directly support our community grant award schemes.
1. Print Dimensions (A4 Format)
The Gander has gone "Full bleed". All sizes stated, include a 3mm bleed, which is an additional area around the perimeter which will be cut off, to ensure true up to the edge printing when the pages are cut down to size. We do offer an initial design service on all ads, but if you would like to supply your own, the sizes including bleed are as follows:
2. Supply of Artwork
- Finished Designs / Professional Artwork: CMYK PDF, or 300dpi image.
- Non-Acceptable 'finished' Adverts: We cannot accept scans of previous magazines, photos of business cards, or low-resolution web images (which includes WEB AI generated such as ChatGPT, Gemini...). In high quality print, these will appear pixelated and unprofessional.
- Design Assistance: We provide limited advertising design for local trades. Please send whatever you can for design reference. The highest quality possible is preferred, including PDF's. Design will not begin until payment is received. The vast majority of the adverts in the Gander have been created by our editor, Rose Williams, A BA in Graphic Design & Advertising.
3. Print Advertising Rates
- Payment should be received before the Edition Deadline: .
- Late payment may defer your advertisement to the next quarter. Discounted multiple issue rates are available, which are non-refundable. All proceeds are used for the production of the magazine and community grant schemes if there is anything left over.
4. Colour Policy
- Colour Placement: Printing colour pages is expensive, so they are limited to keep your advertising costs low. We are working to increase the limited colour page count to increase availability (Which is made easier with reliable advertisers that pay on time!). Placement is at the sole discretion of the Editor, who tries to ensure that advertisers have a "fair share" and that adverts are placed appropriately, sometimes based on the content of the particular magazine.
Standard Terms of Service
